"The Baltic Capitals Plus" 10 Days

Day 1 USA-Vilnius
Depart USA for overnight flight to Vilnius.

Day 2 Vilnius
Upon arriving in Vilnius, you'll be met at the airport and driven to your hotel. There will be a welcome dinner in the evening. (D)

Day 3 Vilnius-Trakai
After breakfast, you begin the day with a city tour of Vilnius, Lithuania's capital for more than 600 years. The tour includes the following; St. Ann's and Paul's church, Cathedral Square, St. Ann's and St Bernadine's Church, The Gates of Dawn with a holy image of the Virgin Mary, the Russian Orthodox Church of the Holy Spirit, Town Hall Square and Vilnius University, founded in 1579 and boasting one of the country's finest art collections. In the afternoon, you'll be driven to the 14th century castle of Trakai that was erected on a small island in Lake Galve. (B)

Day 4 Vilnius-Riga
After breakfast you depart by motor coach to Riga, the capital of Latvia. On the way, you'll visit Rundale palace the most beautiful baroque palace in Latvia. It is also considered the finest example of Baroque Architecture in the Baltic States. Upon arrival to Riga, you will check in to your hotel. (B)

Day 5 Riga-Tallinn
After breakfast, you'll begin your day with a city tour of Riga. In Riga, you will visit St. Peter's Cathedral, from whose steeple will be the best views of the city. Also, you get an opportunity to observe the Riga Castle with three wonderful museums; the Dome Cathedral, which boasts one of the world's largest pipe organs, and the Old Guild Houses. In the afternoon, you will depart for Tallinn, the Capital of Estonia. Before your arrival, you will make a quick stop in Parnu, Estonia. (B)

Day 6 Tallinn
After breakfast, you will take a city tour of Tallinn, a picturesque old city where whole districts date back to the Middle Ages. You'll visit the Old Town with its quaint narrow streets and beautiful merchant's houses exemplifying the best of Gothic Architecture. The tour includes Toompea castle fortifications, the 13th century Dome Church, the 19th century Russian Orthodox Cathedral of Alexander Neveskij, the 15th century Town Hall Square, the Old Guild which was built to celebrate Tallinn's membership to the Hanseatic League, and St. Olaf's Church. You will have the rest of the afternoon free. (B)

Day 7 Tallinn-St. Petersburg
Today you will have the day free to observe the wonderful sights of Tallinn or do some souvenir shopping. In the evening, you will check out of your hotel and be transferred to the railway station for an overnight train to St. Petersburg. (B)

Day 8 St. Petersburg
Upon your arrival, you will be met by our representative and transferred to a local restaurant for breakfast. After breakfast, you will begin a city tour of St Petersburg, which includes a panoramic view of the most interesting architectural and historical sights of the town. You will visit the Neva River embankments, Admiralty, Decembrists' Square, Palace Square, Nevsky Prospect, Isaac's Square with a visit to St Isaac's Church. After checking into your hotel, you will visit the Hermitage Museum, which has one of the largest collections of Western European art. You will continue on the Winter Palace which is famous for its huge frescoed hall, marble, wood and mosaic floors, antique furniture, and statues. (B)

Day 9 St. Petersburg
After breakfast, you'll take an excursion to Peterhoff (also known as Petrodvorets), the former palace of Peter the Great. You will visit the Grand Palace and its park with many sculptures, the unique 144 fountain and cascade system. It has been breathtakingly restored since World War II. (B)

Day 10 St. Petersburg-USA
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home. (B)

If cancelled within 16 days prior to tour departure - no refund
